Short trip compared to yesterday, but that was my plan. Left Grand Junction around 9:30am and arrived in Evergreen around 2:30pm. My buddy was busy working on his experimental airplane (a Cozy designed by Burt Rutan for assembly by individuals from a kit) so I went to downtown Evergreen (touristy like Julian, CA) to have lunch and wait for him.
We made contact by cell and arranged a drive-by pickup. As he drove by, I pulled in behind him and followed him to his place. He has a great mountain house – 9 miles off the main drag. Very quite and private. He gave me one of the two master bedrooms. Later, we watched “The Most Dangerous Catch” on Netflix and then I hit the sack.
