My Monterey host (a friend, web site client and fellow martial art practitioner) had his newly formed band over to his house for a practice session. Also visiting this same weekend was a friend my host has known since 5th grade, who has played the guitar for 42 years and has a band of his own in New York. I used my GoPro video camera to record the event. There were two other video cameras in use and my host’s roommate took still photos.
We had a fun time, there was very tasty food, and I met some really great people.
After the jam session broke up, my host, our friend from New York and I went out to see Expendables 2. It was a decent escapist movie in which the actors made lighthearted fun of themselves and their past movies.
